We’ve recently undertook a complete rebuild of Blind Barber’s Shopify Plus storefront with an emphasis on speed and performance.
Blind Barber wanted to improve user retention, and deliver the snappiest possible shopping experience.
The Shopify Theme code-base had become bloated over time, so we set about stripping back, minifying and optimizing. Although we considered going headless, integrating with Recharge proved impossible due to its lack of support for the Storefront API, so we opted to keep the code inside of liquid templates, ensuring we could still take advantage of Shopify's hosting and CDN infrastructure.
2020 was the year that Blind Barber celebrated 10 years of existence, it was also the year they embarked on several new initiatives — by working with Shopping Gives and rePurpose Global Blind Barber are ensuring they're continuing to contribute to the communities that have supported them, and to net-zero plastic waste.See the site here
